Regal Azmon notched up his 8th career win by making his latest win, his best win. Coming from last at the top of the Morphetville home straight in the Group 3 Cummings, Regal Azmon showed a blistering turn of foot, to pick up the field down the outside to win going away on the line, it was a breathtaking performance.
Regal Azmon is the 32nd stakes winner for his sire Magnus of which Bluegrass Bloodstock purchased his best performed son also in Malaguerra a dual WFA Group 1 winning sprinter for 32k. Regal Azmon was purchased from the same sale as Malaguerra in the Inglis Vobis Gold sale. He was a raw yearling with beautiful length and movement, and being from a Daylami mare, one of the great Aga Khan stallions we thought he would just get better with age. This Bluegrass Bloodstock selection was purchased by Regal Bloodstock for the modest price of $25,000.
Regal Azmon has now won 8 races and over $468,000 in prizemoney including Saturday's group 3 triumph and it looks like his best is yet to come.
