Another Kiwi SW for Bluegrass

I started working back in New Zealand in the late 90’s at Cambridge Stud, learning from the best as a complete novice, I then slowly progressed to Te Runga Farm NZ, a smaller farm but more responsibility for the green horseman under the tutelage of Wayne Larsen.

What I never imagined was that the land of the long white cloud would be the source of some of my early stakes winners for Bluegrass Bloodstock.

Open Minded, the prospect I sourced from NZ as a trial winner, who came into the world under the watchful eye of Wayne Larsen at Te Runga farm, has now become a winning machine in Australia for Dream Thoroughbreds, and he took his career to a new level, when he won the Listed Barton Stakes at Caulfield Jan 26th 2022.

Open Minded has now won 9 races and over $469,000 in stakes and it gives me great pleasure to see him do the job for David Azzopardi and the team at Dream Thoroughbreds.
